The main difference revolves around driver’s objectives. For most ridesharing services, the driver’s goal is to make money and be profitable while driving the car. Using En Route, the driver’s goal is to help out co-commuters and share expensive commute costs in the process.
En Route’s primary objective is to address the problem of last minute bus/train cancellations and delays faced by commuters. As a result, we have focused on providing real-time information. Over time, we hope to progressively address more commuter problems.
Our goal is to ensure that ridesharing for commuters becomes a viable daily option rather than a one-off phenomenon. The pricing structure has been designed to ensure that drivers are compensated appropriately to cover their commute costs. We have used extensive benchmarking techniques to come up with the right price for each journey that is fair for drivers and affordable for riders.
